Reviews for SUSHIHAN - Gardens, Mid Valley
Review highlights
Based on 688 reviewsSUSHIHAN at Gardens, Mid Valley garners positive feedback for its fresh and flavorful Japanese offerings, particularly its seafood selections like red shrimp and salmon belly. Customers appreciate the prompt service and the friendly, polite staff that enhance the overall dining experience. The restaurant’s atmosphere is enhanced by a nostalgic sushi bar conveyor setup, providing a unique and enjoyable ambiance. While the pricing is generally considered reasonable, some patrons note limited sushi variety on the conveyor belt and mixed opinions on certain dishes such as chawanmushi and unagi. Despite these minor critiques, the quality of food and attentive service consistently contribute to making SUSHIHAN a favored choice for both regular visitors and first-timers seeking authentic Japanese cuisine in a pleasant setting.
Ordered a variety of dishes from their menu - chawanmushi, salad, shishamo, salmon ikura sushi and scrambled egg prawn sushi and red shrimp sashimi. The food is served rather quickly, and everything is fresh and enjoyable. I love how big the red shrimp is, the texture is really bouncy and so satisfying to eat them. Definitely share the dishes to be able to try more items and they do have seasonal menu as well.
Sat down counter style and saw lots of nostalgic memorabilia passing by the sushi bar conveyor belt. The tempura and chasoba was well prepared and the sauce light.
Had a great time at the sushi restaurant — and surprisingly, the potato salad was super yummy! Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The food was on the pricier side and there wasn’t much sushi variety on the conveyor belt, but the staff were very friendly and polite, which made up for it. Most of the dishes we tried were definitely yummylicious. Would still recommend giving it a try!
Came here twice this week, just because they had maguro. The belly was too veiny and chewy and sticks between the teeth but the normal cuts are nice The salmon belly is thick and creamy The jo unagi was edible but not great, I’ve had better ones The soft shell crab maki is good because it was freshly made and served warm But skip the chawanmushi, the chicken is gamey Price is reasonable and there’s a conveyor belt
Sushihan is one of my goto Japanese restaurant. Food and service is great. The price is reasonable, too. The pic posted is a free Maki from the outlet on my recent birthday. TQVM Sushihan
If you love Sushi Zamai or its sister Japanese restaurants, you’ll love this place. The food is either equally as good or better for some. But the atmosphere is very comfy and chill. Love the little anime figurines on the belt too. Came here alone as I was passing by randomly and the place was such a vibe!
